For this assignment you are to research, write, memorize, and deliver an informative or oratorical speech. Requirements in order:
1. Come in with a basic thesis and three preliminary sources for approval (10 points).
2. Once approved, find five more sources (7 more sources if advanced) (10 points).
3. Bring in a rough outline for approval (10 points).
4. Flesh out the outline indicating source citations. This means type the speech out word for word. (10 points).
5. Complete the introduction and conclusion (10 points).
6. Memorize and do moves (10 points).
7. Present the speech to class with 1 note card, 100 words or less written. (15 points).
At any of these steps, I may ask you to redo or rework your material. Be patient, I am only doing this to help you make a better speech and to become a better speaker.
Remember - the informative speech is 7 minutes, the oratory is 10 minutes.
